My \"factory refurbished\" Garmin 1450 locked up on my ~6 months ago, on my way to a CRITICAL appointment. Pressed my old 255W into service, but sure did miss my 5\" screen 1450! Found a replacement screen on eBay with \"USA Shipping\"; turned out to be from Short Tronics Inc. Screen came in in a week; turns out that I had lost the retaining tab for the ribbon cable. Contacted Chris, who gave me shipping/payment instructions. Put it in the mailbox on a Thursday, got it back on a Thursday; and that\'s with X-Mas in the mix! Inexpensive, courteous, and it works like a champ! Will be sending my 255W in for a new digitizer, as it stopped working the DAY I got my 1450 in! I honestly can NOT imagine better service - like going back in time 35 years to when you were treated with civility!
