Express Repair Service Instructions

Our Express Repair Service is designed to make standard repairs quick and easy, if you are unsure of the exact repair that is needed you can use our Repair Form and just send in the unit with the form.  If you purchase our Express Repair Service and the repair ends up different than what is ordered we will contact you with the differences – we perform a full evaluation on every unit.

Step 1  Determine the problem with the unit.  Check the repair option check boxes that you would like, now is a good time to get a new battery if a different repair is needed.

Step 2  Complete the checkout process, you can either use the PayPal checkout that does not require signing up on our website or create an account on our website which will make future orders easier and will allow other forms of payment such as check and credit card, our preferred method of payment is a check sent along with the unit to be repaired – it keeps our overhead low and will not delay the return of your unit.

Step 3  Package up your unit with a copy of your order and mail the package.  Please send the unit to be repaired only (no accessories [i.e. stylus, SD cards, case, AC adapter, cables, etc.] unless they also need to be checked out).  Packed in a well-protected box, it is not recommended to use a bubble envelope as it does not protect the unit from damage as well as a box.

US shipping – For small packages Priority Mail by the USPS with Delivery Confirmation works out best – they even give you the box and it is two to three day service – DO NOT USE the USPS paper Flat Rate Envelope, they do not hold up well in the mail.  For packages over 3 pounds UPS is best.

International shipping – Air Mail is the best choice however it is not traceable and can take longer then expected at times.  For international shipments do not ship using either UPS or FedEx, many times brokerage fees are charged upon receipt and these will be passed on to the customer.  All checks must be in US funds, if this is not an option please use either PayPal or credit card for payment.

Once we receive the unit we will do a full evaluation, if any other problems are found you will be notified and given the option to have further repairs done on your unit.  If no problems are found we complete the repair, re-evaluate the repaired unit, notify you of the completion and send the package out with no delays.  In most cases the repair is sent back the next day, using the RUSH option will insure it is taken care of as quickly as possible – many go out the same day of receiving them.

    I do not have any idea what is wrong with my Garmin Zumo 450. It will not turn on at all. I put in a new battery but still nothing turns on at all. I would like to send it to you but am not sure how much to put on a check or can I simply register a credit card with you and then charge the amount after you have let me know how much it is? Thanks for your help.

    Hi admin, i found this post on 22 spot in google’s search results.
    I’m sure that your low rankings are caused by high bounce rate.
    This is very important ranking factor. One of the biggest reason for high bounce
    rate is due to visitors hitting the back button. The higher your bounce
    rate the further down the search results your posts and pages will end
    up, so having reasonably low bounce rate is important for improving your
    rankings naturally. There is very useful wordpress plugin which can help you.

    zumo 550 SDS – sort of. boots up occasionally. Has new battery and has new motorcycle mounting bracket. Screen is often reverse when started. no functions will work. has new SD card and updated maps. i will package up the 550 and the two mounting brackets so you can determine if good or bad.

    You fixed my Garmin Zumo 450 last year and it worked great for about 6 months. Now it is not showing the part of the screen that is being touched and seems to act like the bottom right side is touched. Sounds to me like the digitizer isn’t working right. If I have it right I should include a check for $45.90 with the unit?

    I have a Garmin Zumo 550. One of the buttons, on the left hand side of the unit has popped off. The unit works great. Its about 4 or 5 years old.
    Do you just replace the part or do I have to send the whole unit to you, to repair the button?
    What is the cost, and turnaround time?

    I have a Palm Z22 when I try to get Memos to come up the screen goes blank and I have to use the reset switch to get the unit to come on again. I cannot get the info I have stored in memos Can you fix my Palm Z22?

    Garmin Zumo 550. It occasionally has trouble/delays locking onto satellites when started up, even outdoors. The touch screen is losing sensitivity. When icons are touched there is sometimes no screen response or a partial/odd screen appears. I’d like the internal battery to be changed too.

    I want to send the unit to you ASAP. I’ll pay by credit card (not PayPal). Please provide clear guidance on how and what to pack and ship to you.

    I’ve got a nuvi 1490 unit that always gives a low battery warning. Also it reboots frequently while I am navigating to a destination. It sometimes won’t communicate with my computer. (cable maybe?) is it worth fixing ?

    My Palm Z22 will not syncronize with my Desktop PC. I have installed the Z22 software on the PC and the hot sync icon is operatinf. Still my handheld will not connect to the PC via USB cable. The battery on the Z22 handheld will not hold a charge (it is 15 yrs old).
    Can you help me?

    Before long I’ll need to take advantage of your fine battery replacement service for my T|X, as you last performed for me. The battery is not keeping its charge as it used to, etc.

    Again, so happy you’re still there and helping. Oh, and perhaps you might send me an e-mail (no big hurry) and let me know what/how to do what I need to do when I send it to you on an expedited basis for repair/replacement of the battery.

    I am forwarding my Garmin nuvi 1490 GPS unit for replacement of an intermittent USB connector and to have the internal battery replaced.

    I removed the microSD card from the unit, but will be including the power cable to make sure that it is not part of the intermittent power problem. The unit has been recently updated to the latest version of the map software.

    The unit barcode information on the bottom of the unit is: 1T2119324. The unit was working before it was shipped, except for occasional problems with the power connector.

    I will be shipping the unit by USPS Priority mail insured for $250. I would like insured shipment when it is returned to me.

    My Garmin Zumo 660 was working great but I broke the screen. I attempted to replace the cracked screen with a new digitizer screen, following directions on YouTube, but even though there’s sound, there is no video on the new screen. I’m not sure I put in the ribbon correctly. Can you please give me an estimate? It has a new screen and digitizer, just need it installed correctly. Thanks so much, Brad Theriault

    No idea of why palm unit did not charge.
    I replaced battery and it appears it did not work and when first charge smelled burning.
    I will send unit USPS and tell me if it can be repaired and recover all data.

    I have a Palm Pilot Z22 and I am pretty sure the battery needs to be replaced. It only turns on when plugged in.
    Can I send to you to replace the battery. Will it still keep all my info?
    How much and do you send me a form via email to complete before mailing?

    I have a Garmin 276C that won’t power up with either the battery which is new or the power cable supplied by Garmin. Do you still repair them? I will be happy to send a check with the unit, just not sure of the amount. I use this as a emergency backup only.
