Can't rave enough about Chris S. and his company. He once again came through fixing my snow plow remote this time, which had a fauly charge port. Chris helped me a couple of times before to bring my Zumo motorcycle GPS back to life. I strongly support his philosophy that electronics are meant to be repaired if at all possible and not end up in a landfill right away. Great professional job once again!

I’d almost given up on a place to have the charging socket on my Garmin GPS repaired when I found Chris at Short Tronics. The windows XP hosting my Palm Desktop crashed! I love my 3 Palm Pilots, Exactly the capability I need, no extra and unnecessary (for me) encumbrances. I depend on having 1 primary always in use, and the desktop, of course. Short Tronics (Palm Dr) has helped me with batteries before! That's how I found them (Chris). Well, try to imagine how vulnerable I felt when my 30 year (?) collection of all sorts of historical and current everyday data was only accessible on one handheld. I use it constantly and synchronize, purge deleted data, every day. I emailed, got a quick response, he suggested a course of action, and we followed through exactly as he suggested. Several steps, all important, all exactly as he knew, and all executed with no drama. With the help of some software and drivers he ID'd and a tool to let him work on my laptop remotely, he gave me a palm desktop on a windows 10 laptop, sync'd me, and all is well. What a relief! No kidding, what an immense relief, super service. hooray!

Sent in a CNX80 that was completely dead. In just a few days it was returned not only repaired but refurbished to like new condition. It now works perfectly. Thanks Chris for your competent, fast and reasonably priced repair.

My Garmin Zumo would take a charge or boot up. I found the Short Tronics (Palm Dr) online and made contact. The response and initial diagnosis was immediate. Diagnosis was spot on, sent the unit out via mail and had it back in about a week. Not saying that would happen for everyone’s situation but it was a fantastic turn around. Thank you so much

Chris has been my "go To" for all of our older Garmin and EFIS screen repairs. I cannot recommend him enough in regards, to quality, customer service (5 day turn, Garim/Dynon are you paying attention here?) and costs in repairing these still functional older units.

The repair service offered by PalmDR / Short Tronics is nothing less than unique. There appears to be no one who can offer what Chris offers. I am so indebted to the excellent work on repairing the ROM on my Palm LifeDrive (which I messed up trying to be clever with an installation). Phew. What a relief to know that PalmDR / Short Tronics exists!!!

I have a Garmin Diesel 580. The power port got damaged and I was unable to power the unit on. Being a trucker, I keep track of all of my IFTA reporting and also have several hundred saved places in my GPS. Not being able to power the unit on would cost me several hours of trying to figure out my IFTA. I searched several local repair shops, only finding one who could not get the part needed to repair it. I fired up the google machine and found SHORT TRONICS INC and gave them a call. Chris said no problem, send it to me, I will get it back ASAP. He fixed my GPS and updated it. Turn around was less than a week (this was over the holidays!). GPS works faster now than it ever has and I have all of the information back that I thought I would never see again. Total cost, including shipping was much less than I expected. Strongly recommend, I give SHORT TONICS INC 5 stars! And I would like to give Chris a high five and buy him a cold beer. If I ever have any issue with any electronics, I am going to call Chris first.

Thanks a lot for doing this! I came looking for accessories for my m500 and m515 and found plenty. Everything came quickly, in great shape, and will definitely come back to check on the stock or if I need any future repairs.

Chris did an excellent job repairing my Garmin BMW Navigator VI after I ham-handed dropped it screen down in a gravel parking lot. Without the option of purchasing a new unit and not trusting the used ones for sale with high prices on ebay, options seemed to be zero. Luckily, I came across this site. Clear and very reasonable pricing was a surprise, and the very swift repair and shipment back to me was awesome. Popped the unit back in my R1250RT and did a comprehensive operational check; everything worked perfectly! Looking at it I cannot find any evidence it was ever damaged or worked on. I cannot recommend Short Tronics enough and would go back to him for repair of other devices too should they ever become necessary!
