I have had my Zumo 550 since they came out many years ago. Garmin has obsoleted them and will no longer repair or replace them. I was fortunate to find SHORT Tronics online and contacted them. I sent my unit in for evaluation and the response was amazing. Chris at Short Tronics let me know what was wrong with my unit and what it would take to repair it. The repaired it the same day that I authorized it and shipped it that day before I had even payed them. These guys have what I call OLD SCHOOL ethics and integrity. I am now a customer for life.

Garmin Repair

I have had 4 Garmin GPS over the last several years. I purchased a new Garmin when the current Garmin was not operating as it should and not dependable. I always felt that it was the plug in and this time it was the plug and the screen. The recent Garmin I sent in was a 5500 series and used on my motorcycle. It got wet and the screen had botchers. I was going to purchase a new Garmin but felt that the repair and postage was cheaper. It only took a couple days and it is working well.
