My Zumo went haywire. Screen would not respond to touches. Tried Garmin Repair. Unit is to old. No longer repairing them . Tried a local avionics repair shop , no go. Found Short Tronics on line. Sent Chris an email , described problem , he answered back with a diagnosis. New digitizer and I should replace back up battery also. OK. I was expecting $200-$300 bill. My total was $58.75. WHAT ???? He shipped the unit back out to me the same day he received it. It works likes new. Couldn\'t be happier. I will spread the word in my riding community . Thanks again

Garmin Zumo 350LM Back to Life

PalmDR / Short Tronics, INC. successfully repaired my otherwise dead Garmin Zumo 350LM. During the process of moving over my Zumo 350 gps cradle from one motorcycle to my BMW F800GS, I noticed the unit would not boot up with my ignition switch in accessory mode. I stumbled on PalmDr through ADVrider forum. Communication with PalmDr ( Chris ) from start to finish was precise, timely, and accurate. From the onset Chris diagnosed problem correctly through email exchange. His quote was very affordable and did not change. His preliminary diagnosis was replacing power chip. Within one day of receiving my Zumo 350, PalmDR had it diagnosed and repaired. Shipping was very affordable. Just follow PalmDR directions. Use flat rate USPS with tracking. About $7 each way for 2-3 day delivery. Cannot beat that. Anyhow, I am very happy to find PalmDr. Saved me the hassle of looking for another GPS and rewiring my entire bike for new cradle and device. Two thumbs up. Thanks PalmDr.

What a pleasure to do business with a company like this. I e-mailed Chris and he replied right away. I explained my problem he said they could fix it and out lined the price for each service I needed. The price was very reasonable the service was done extremely fast. I had my GPS bac in no time working like new. I highly recommend Short Tronics if you need a repair on a Garmin unit that Garmin won't fix . They had it repaired and on its way back a day before it was due to be delivered to them according to the USPS tracking.

Surprisingly fast turn around on my Garmin repair. Mailed it on a Friday and received the repaired unit the following Friday. They clearly pay a lot of attention to customer service in repairing these products and returning them quickly. Thanks very much
