International Orders - Because of the new postal regulations we are no longer able to send ANY device with a battery out of the USA.  This includes batteries and any device with a battery, this also includes any repairs.  We will look into the possibilities of using a different shipping option but until this is determined we will refund the order minus the payment processing fee which we are not able to recover, this amount typically amounts to round 4%.

I found Short Tronics on the web and contacted them by phone. I didn't have to push any buttons to go directly to Chris Short. He gave me an estimate over the phone without even seeing the unit. It was so reasonable that I sent it to him immediately. Two days later he said it was fixed and it worked fine. The price was as he estimated over the phone which is about 1/3 of what anybody else wanted. Garmin of course won't repair anything after they bring out new models. Anyone who wants superior service should contact Short Tronics. I know I will in the future.
