International Orders - Because of the new postal regulations we are no longer able to send ANY device with a battery out of the USA.  This includes batteries and any device with a battery, this also includes any repairs.  We will look into the possibilities of using a different shipping option but until this is determined we will refund the order minus the payment processing fee which we are not able to recover, this amount typically amounts to round 4%.

I've had a few Garmins over the years, and they have all failed with the same symptoms. The unit loses power and cannot be recharged (or intermittent charging), though the unit works fine on battery until it is exhausted. On the internet I learned this is a common failure mode where the mini USB connector on the back comes loose from the circuit board inside.

For a price substantially lower than a new unit, Short Tronics INC quickly verified the diagnosis and repaired my unit. I'm very happy to have chosen their services.
