International Orders - Because of the new postal regulations we are no longer able to send ANY device with a battery out of the USA.  This includes batteries and any device with a battery, this also includes any repairs.  We will look into the possibilities of using a different shipping option but until this is determined we will refund the order minus the payment processing fee which we are not able to recover, this amount typically amounts to round 4%.

Title: Zumo 550 repair

Like most, the buttons on my Zumo 550 started to crack and one fell off...lost to the ages. I contacted Garmin, who unceremoniously told my they no longer support that model but would be happy to give me 10% off a new model. $700 for a rugged moto GPS and I get 10%.
I did some searching and found Chris. I read some reviews here and figured $70 was better than $700. My unit was delivered at 11am on a Thursday and that night I received a return shipping confirmation. I was bowled over!!! I received the unit on a Saturday morning and it looks fantastic. I should easily get another 7 years out of it.
I happily support people like Chris who want to fix things rather than just throw them away and buy new. My hat (err...helmet) is off to you sir!
