International Orders - Because of the new postal regulations we are no longer able to send ANY device with a battery out of the USA.  This includes batteries and any device with a battery, this also includes any repairs.  We will look into the possibilities of using a different shipping option but until this is determined we will refund the order minus the payment processing fee which we are not able to recover, this amount typically amounts to round 4%.

Title: Garmin 545 marine GPS

I was ready to purchase a new Garmin marine GPS, because I dropped my unit and broke the screen. I called Garmin, they said they did not repair that particular unit anymore. I was going to throw it away when I did a last minute Google to see if I could find someone to repair it.
THANK GOODNESS , I discovered SHORT TRONICS! Chris Short repaired my unit and sent it back to me within a week. When I plugged it into my boat, it beeped as though it was going to boot up, and then died! Chris and I know it worked before transporting back to me, because he had sent a picture of my unit , and it was working. Had to be broken during shipping back to me. I told Chris about the unit, he said it sounds like a bad CPU. I sent it back and, it in fact was a bad CPU. Chris fixed it and charged me 1/2 price of normal, because he had worked on my unit. What a great business to know about for any one who wants to get a longer use out of their expensive electronics. I used it though out a trip for a 50 mile trip down the Chesapeake bay, and it worked like a charm.
